About THE AUTHOR
My name is Carol Shaw, I have been married to the adorable Robert since July 2003.
We live in the Midlands in the heart of the UK, and are both self employed with myself as a Debt and Money Advisor, and a Jewellery Designer and Robert as an End of Life Financial Planner.
Robert has a son, Matthew, from his previous marriage who is engaged to the lovely Dannika, and together they have given us the most beautiful grand daughter, Everley, born in December 2016.
I love cooking and growing our own veggies, along with sewing, art, crochet and all things crafty.
My perfect day would involve a long lazy brunch with Robbie, followed by spending some time getting to know my sewing machine a little better. The evening would be spent with Robert at the cinema ending with a light Mexican or Japanese supper before going home to snuggle on the sofa.
Family is everything to us. We have learned that there are many important things in life, such as health, happiness and financial stability, but faith and love have proved to be the most important to us.
Everything sounds perfect doesn't it? Well let me tell you that it isn't. About three years ago our lives were turned upside down when we were told that Robert had a brain tumour. Where did that come from? We all know how things come out of nowhere and blindside us, well this is one of those things. The book is a true and honest account of how it's affected
us warts and all, but also how our faith has carried us through the most difficult of times.
